Managing Across Culture in Rwanda
Target Audience: Expatriates who have just started working in Rwanda
Duration: 1 hour Pre-reads: Managing Across Culture in Rwanda Booklet Size of class: From 1 to 20 people Cost: $30 per person At a very fundamental level all human beings are the same; we all love justice and fairness, we want to respect and be respected, we cherish taking care of families and friends, we value work and being productive. But the way we approach these values differs across cultures. Our cultural values shape our behavior and inform our actions both in social life and business settings. Having worked in multicultural environments for more than 8 years, I have witnessed the harm that cultural unpreparedness can cause. I think you would agree with me that unmanaged cultural differences lead to team miscommunication, judgement, isolation, distrust and ultimately unhealthy relationships which result in mediocre performance and poor productivity. This one hour training will help you identify cultural values that could help you, or work against you while working in Rwandan culture. The training will also give tips and hints that will help you relate well and effectively manage your Rwandan team. |
