Why English Skills Training

According to the 2022 Education First English Proficiency index, Rwanda ranked 107th globally and 18th out of 20 African countries that participated in the assessment. In the assessment Rwanda scored 392 which is pre-intermediate level.
English is by far the most common language of information exchange across borders and a key determinant of employability and career growth internationally and in Rwanda. It is clear that this low proficiency level is one of the biggest impediments for Rwandan talents and workforce.

Objective of the English Skills Training Program

To improve the English proficiency of Rwandan professionals and help them compete on local and global levels in the business arena.

Beyond English Skills

Global Competence & Intercultural Skills
Beyond just teaching people English communication skills, our program also builds our students global competence and intercultural skills. During class discussions, our teachers engage participants in active conversations around global issues such as climate change, education, hunger, migration, gender equity and cultural diversity. Our teachers are native speakers who taught English in different parts of the World. They bring these cultural and global experiences into the classroom to help students broaden their understanding of global perspectives.

Expand Your Network
From time to time, our teachers invite guest speakers to come and discuss with the students a topic in their field. The teacher will also sign-up students for free events where they will be able to practice English with different English speakers. Through these events students will have the opportunity to expand their networks.
