  • Find a house or apartment and furnish it. Your buddy brings cultural insights and helps you deal with brokers and negotiate with landlords to have appropriate price for the hosue and furniture.
  • Register sim-card and open bank account. Your buddy will go with you to either MTN or Airtel to register your sim-card and open your bank account (This sounds simple but I can be stressful and sometimes spend more than two days if you are new and are not used to banking system in Rwanda).
  • Shopping. Your buddy will go with you to different supermarkets and help you navigate local markets.
  • Open your business and connect you with people you need to start your business
  • Help you getting around as you figure out your own transportation means.

The session covers a brief history of Rwanda, Rwanda administrative structure, Rwanda home grown solutions and 25 cultural tips that explain mannerisms and behaviors in Rwanda.
"Justin's session on cultural awareness in Rwanda was extremely helpful! After meeting with him, our group felt much better equipped to live in Rwanda for the upcoming year. The session was wide-reaching in topics and ranged from proper greetings to the intricacies of respect in the Rwandan workplace. We wish we had met with him on our first day in Rwanda!"

Justin's services have been invaluable from finding me airport transport that would accommodate all my luggage (which included a 50 inch trampoline). The Airbnb I'd rented for the first month proved bad and Justin responded to my need for a new place by scheduling time with a Realtor Jon and within a matter of hours I'd found my long term apartment, a brand new complex that fits all my requirements. In addition to his assistance with finding the apartment he assisted in negotiating my apartment lease. Justin's efforts resulted in a savings of $1200.00 over the course of my one year lease.

The definition of a "Buddy" is a good friend and I can honestly say Justin Ngoga has been a good friend over the course of my transition to living in Rwanda. He has assisted with mundane tasks as well as those critical for transitioning abroad. He's assisted with getting my SIM card, opening up a Bank account, educating me on the culture of bargaining in Rwanda. When one is moving to a new country with a different culture, language, money etc. many times one does not know what you don't know. Justin's "Buddy" service was critical to my feeling as at home as I do in my new country. I highly recommend his services. He will make your transition like room temperature butter.

When we made the decision to move to Rwanda, from England, we were extremely aware that we may lack the practical and cultural knowledge needed to achieve our vision. Filling this knowledge gap quickly was extremely important for us mainly because we have five young children and so we where where mindful that they have a smooth transition once we moved.
That’s why we were extremely relived to discover that Justin provided a service that was thorough and flexible enough to cater for our various needs. He created a bespoke passage that allowed for us to secure & furnish a family home, set up all the necessary utilities and purchase a reliable car, all within a month of our arrival.

My family and I are relocating to Rwanda from the US. We hired Justin Ngoga to give us a city tour around Kigali in order to narrow down potential neighborhoods where we could live. We were expecting a basic tour of Kigali but what we received far exceeded our expectations. Justin provided so much insight into the different neighborhoods and gave us so much more to consider.
He was very patient with us and didn’t mind stopping if we wanted to get out of the car and take pictures or get a closer look at the neighborhood. He was also very thorough in answering all of our questions that we had along the way. I also have to highlight how warm and friendly Justin was. He even invited me and my family to his home for dinner, which is an experience we won’t ever forget.

We were blown away by his kindness and generosity. I would strongly recommend his services to anyone looking to relocate from abroad and wanting a more personal touch. My family and I received a ton of useful information from Justin and are looking forward to working with him in the future.
